Raku Sushi - Ringwood

This is my favorite sushi restaurant to go to. It's a 20-minute drive from my house, but it's worth it, even for takeout.

I have been a regular at this restaurant since it first opened. The service and food have always been exceptional. It is a favorite spot for my family as well. The quality and consistency of this restaurant have remained strong over the years. I have visited many sushi restaurants, but this one truly has the best spicy fish rolls. The sauce at other places can be too sweet and the fish is not always cut properly. However, Raku does it perfectly with a satisfying crunch. I highly recommend trying any dish from this restaurant, as everything I have tasted has been delicious.

The restroom at this restaurant had Summer's Eve wipes, which deserve a 10-star rating if I could give one.

Mediocre food, nice interior. The sushi was mediocre at best, the hot shrimp tempura appetizer was a little doughy and the wasabi was very dark and dense with no spice at all. The staff was very kind though. Sadly I cannot reccomend this restaurant with other, much better, options nearby.

So Raku is now named Sakura Japanese restaurant. Friends have suggested Raku and we were in the area and decided to give it a try. I was told they just changed names, everything else is the same. We had a great meal. First we ordered the Kani salad which was a nice mix of crab, lettuce and cucumber. The rolls were outta control , triple threat , and crazy dragon . The first two had similar ingredients, but were very different in flavors. Everything was displayed beautifully and flavor was fantastic. Tuna Sashimi was a nice deep purple and delicious. Definitely a good spot!
