Folkklubs Ala Pagrabs - Riga

It was a great experience. The place has an outdoor seating, but i strongly recommend to go inside, basically this place is located subterranean, giving an atmosphere to be back on time. Great to go by yourself or a couple, for a beer, a tea, lunch or dinner. It's really not expensive and a great portion. Has happy hour and you can two beer for the price of one. Excellent service, friendly and willing to accommodate all requests.

Good Happy hour between 4 and 6. Half price beer. Nice food. Beef was a little cold. Beer platter okay. Chicken fine . Would return for veer and folk music

Food is fine, nothing too special but still has good value with such cheap price. Service is superrr slowww. The restaurant seems to be always crowded but the amount of waiters is not enough. The live music is nice. Not too noisy so you can still talk. The restaurant is in a basement with ‘ancient’ architecture and decoration. I really enjoy it and the atmosphere.

Give it a chance. We thought it was closed but persevered into the depths and dark. It was well worth it, for the atmosphere and Latvian food. The service isn't brilliant, but they were polite enough and ready to help with recommendations. We are glad we stuck with it because the traditional potato pancakes and grandmas Latvian meatballs were amazing!

Had the meatball, risotta, and balsam (black currant). Food was in large portions. Would recommend the meatball and balsam if you want to try traditional Latvian cuisine. The waitress was friendly and knowledgeable. She explained about the dishes and recommended me to try the Balsam in black currant. Also the restaurant is in underground and has a dance floor. The day I went there was after Latvia winning US in Ice Hockey Championship. So it was lively.
