The Bloated Mallard

I arrived to find the restaurant empty. I ordered a Vegan burger and chips from the cooking area on my way to the garden, where I ate in the sunny, empty space. The restaurant could use a bit of a touch-up, as a fresh coat of paint would brighten up the garden.

This unassuming local pub does not have cocktails on the menu, but it serves up delicious burgers in a cozy indoor space and a hidden garden. While the lack of live music is noticeable, the establishment has managed to weather the challenges of lockdown. Some innovative ideas may be needed to liven up the atmosphere.

The restaurant's food was delicious and reasonably priced, but the bar was overly expensive and provided subpar customer service.

I absolutely adore this pub! The decor is fantastic, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is awesome. They have locally brewed beers on tap, open fires that create a cozy atmosphere on a winter night, and the food is fantastic.
