Contribuiți la feedbackI had a delicious Indian meal at Bengal Village. The Chicken Rogan and garlic naan were particularly enjoyable, with just the right amount of spice. I highly recommend this restaurant.
The food was really terrible. A few weeks ago, we ordered from another nearby restaurant, Cafe Masala, and it was one of the worst meals we've ever had. So, we decided to try Bengal Village tonight. Unfortunately, the food was identical and really bad again. We noticed that Bengal Village is listed as closed on here and on Deliveroo, leading us to suspect that the undercooked and tasteless food is coming from the same place. We complained to the owner, who claimed to have personally cooked the food. However, the aloo gobi and motor panir dishes had identical sauces, with potatoes that were too hard to eat. The king prawn korai contained tiny prawns in a bland tomato sauce with a few onions and peppers, while the garlic naan had no garlic flavor at all.
It's a family run takeaway. It's not close to me but I go there because I love the tasty well prepared food. I'd say I prefer it to all the other Indian takeaways in the Richmond and Twickenham area. Definitely worth a visit. I can only say I haven't ever been disappointed!
I really enjoyed the lamb madras at this restaurant, it was a little spicier than I anticipated but the delicious flavor made up for it! The pilau rice was also excellent.
I felt I must leave feedback after just having a quick take away from the Bengal village, I am a business traveler who was staying at the Richmond inn hotel, I had spent a few hours in the red cow pub opposite watching the Wednesday night football, I only had a couple of pints came out and felt peckish, After studying there menu from the window , I noticed they do a kebab roll, which I thought would be ideal, I didn’t want to take food back to my room and have the smell lingering all night, my local Indian do a kebab roll, and it’s a great bit of food without having to order several dishes, any how I was not disappointed, I asked them if they could make it in a fresh nan bread, which they truly obliged, honestly it was Devine, better than my local, it had fresh salad coriander and the sweetness of the onions was absolutely mouth watering, a £4.50 snack and better than anything I could have had in the high street and 10 pm in the evening. Well done the Bengal I will be back, I should have said I eat Indian food all over the country and have been to some of the most up market Indian restaurant’s and paid through the nose, this place was just as good.
