Nando's Peri-peri - Richmond Hill

The food is awesome. I love the atmosphere and the music they play is soo happy and joyful sounds African or something but I love it. This is an awesome place to have amazing food in a bright atmosphere. And the girl at the cashier is soo nice.. FELICIA. I love the food at nandos and I came to this location twice in the past. But todays experience was not up to nandos’ standards. We waited for our food almost an hour. We asked for updates on when our food was gonna come, they said 6 mins but it did not arrive for 15 more minutes. When they finally brought our food they forgot the salad and brought it when we almost finished eating. On top of everything root of the lettuce was inside the salad I attached a pic)

The food was very good. We ordered the platter for 3 people, with coleslaw and peri-peri fries plus a large caesar salad. The chicken was tasty and well cooked. It was a very satisfying meal. Other pluses were: we liked that they provided real utensils for dine in. They came in a paper sleeve. Real glass glasses with paper straws for cold drinks. In the washroom, they had hot air jet hand dryer. Our server/greeter was friendly and helpful; explaining how ordering worked, and explained the heat level of their sauces. He checked on us during our meal. As for their physical space, it needs an upgrade/ serious freshening. The yellow benches showed extreme wear dirt. Tables could use a good scrub. Floors are worn. The music playing was very loud. The big windows brought in lots of light.

The quality and taste was acceptable, nothing special. I tried the wrapped chicken which was enough for a medium-size person. Far from something you can call delicious, but totally OK. However, the strawberry lemonade was good. I Might return and try something else.

4.5 We tried this location in the past but this time I believe it’s a new ownership. We ordered the Full Pack (Whole chicken 2 Large sides garlic bread). The chicken was so tender, juicy and tasty, the garlic mashed potatoes, the fries and the garlic bread were so delicious. The service was great! They offered us some wings to try out.
