Contribuiți la feedbackWe happen to stumble upon this Korean restaurant on a cold weekday, cause the place we were going to was closed. It was bright inside and fairly busy. After a quick check on yelp, we took a chance and so glad we did. Service was good overall. Sat us immediately, gave us refills when asked but need to flag them down. Wanted something to warm up, saw a good selection of Korean Tofu Soups. The vegetable jjigae came out steaming hot with a few standard banchans. I was surprised by the spicy level and rich flavour. Had good portions of tofu and egg along with other veggies. We also got the garlic and soy sauce boneless fried chicken. Easy to eat, doesn't stick to your teeth and finger licking good. The sauce it was covered in was the right amount of sweet and savoury. Slightly crispy on the outside and very tender and moist inside. Would have like it crunchy and bit more depth in flavour but very solid KFC. Would have ate more if it was a weekend meal with some beer/soju and football.
Small restaurant, specializing in Korean Pork Bone Soup (Gamjatang). We ordered the rocket Gamjatang, servings were generous and tasted good!If youre cravin a hot hearty meal, would recommend.Parking: Lots of parking
Second time coming to pal pal 88, ordered their 부대찌개 and it’s delicious! Everyone is very nice and friendly! So sad they discounted the potato pancakes tho hopefully they will bring it back someday!
Finally found the time to give this place a try and I definitely have regrets about not going here sooner. Service is prompt, food is made quickly, and portion sizes are pretty large although the prices do indeed match it haha. The food is really good, and this would be the right place to visit during the colder season! Highly recommend their BBQ EEL DOLSOTBAP which is their rice served in a hot stone bowl, that is then topped with barbecue eel, kimchi, egg, and fish eggs. If you like crispy rice, the hot stone bowl is really what causes it so highly recommend it for people into that :D The seafood pancake kind of lacked seafood in at least half of the pancake, so I think to a degree, calling it a green onion pancake would be more accurate : ' The pancake was really crispy, and the sauce that came with it was delicious. I also tried the potato pancake for takeout, and I definitely prefer that one to the seafood one when I dine in again! The beef udon was flavorful but definitely on the saltier side. I heard the seafood tofu soup was spich but I didn 't try any so hard to say haha. I will definitely be back though!
New Korean restaurant in this small plaza. First time to try. Bright, cozy and clean. Customer service was good. Server was attentive. Tried their signature Pork Bone soup, Seafood Soft Tofu soup and 88 BBQ Pork Hock. Food served hot and quick. The BBQ Pork Hock served with a hot iron plate and it was delicious but quite salty. It came with a plate of lettuce. I found the seafood tofu soup only came with 2 mussels, with no shrimp like it showed on the website. Soup tasted authentic. Overall experience was good.
