Contribuiți la feedbackMy experience at a Marriott hotel was the worst ever! I had made a dinner reservation for two at 10 pm on Friday, September 22, 2023 through OpenTable. Due to a late flight into Vancouver, I had to modify the reservation to 10:45 pm. We received confirmation of the new reservation via email and the OpenTable app, so we didn't purchase anything at the airport. After checking in at the hotel front desk, we arrived at the apron around 10:30 pm for dinner. We were seated and placed our order, only to be informed by 10:40 pm that the kitchen had already closed! (The hotel's website listed the apron's closing time as 11 pm). The server apologized and suggested we order from the late night dining menu. We returned to our room and tried calling the express services number, which redirected us to the late night dining line. Unfortunately, the phone rang and no one answered. I tried two more times before giving up.
Finding parking was a challenge as it took me nearly 20 minutes to secure a spot.
The service was strange (server made a comment about the portion size of my meal) and the food is too expensive for what you get.
We started with cocktails, wonderful. The service was amazing. I had the best steak I have ever had anywhere. There was a wonderful local cider. My wife is vegetarian and spoilt for choice with her menu. I had a wonderful cheesecake to finish.
Just delicious. The best meal we have had in a long while. Halibut and filet were both delicious. Drinks were perfect, as was dessert. Well worth the money for this quality of food. Server was a sweetheart.
