Shane's Rib Shack - Richmond

Tasty rib. visited for the first time and found the ribs tender and tasty as well as the pork grill. the chicken (dender in the grunde) was ok, but overbreaded and nothing special. the sides were generally good, although the Mac cheese was below the average. oddly, the disc of texas toast on the plate was only that simple brot slightly roasted on a side without butter. would be so much better if at least with butter on one if not both sides were grilled. the plate was more food than a person could eat and, in that did, we had a second meal later in the night with what we brought to home of 2 plates. the personal was very friendly and made the entire experience...read more

Avid diner must have a walking palace and be a nightmare to please. it is a scandal that his assessment promises its evaluation. every new restaurant deserves a certain place in its large opening. I went there twice at this weekend and eating was great and so was the service. the time will prove if shane has earned it to be successful in a city with marginal BBQ selections.

Horrible food and poorly run. I was prepared for not everything being perfect, but I was not ready for how bad it was. The order was filled completely incorrectly. The Brunswick Stew, usually a favorite, was gelatinous. The ribs were full of fat. Management seemed clueless. The only thing positive I can say is that the front end staff...all girls...were trying. This was my first...and last...visit.

I really enjoyed the sampler platter. Everything on my plate was delicious. My only complaint was that it was so warm in the restaurant.

Great experience here. Got a full rack of ribs, sweet potato fries, cpl texas toast and some fried okra for about $21. My girlfriend and me at this for two and it more than filled us up. We also got a free peach cobbler for some type of promotion they have going currently. The envelope they hand you is for random prizes you can redeem there like half off items or free sandwiches and such. They have a big menu. They even brought the food on over to us. All the staff there i met seemed really nice and i love it. The actual setting is a hit country in appearance but they do play modern music. Its a mix. Plus they have an outside patio as well. Downside they do not serve any beer or alcohol :
