Sakura Sushi and Steak - Richmond

If you know what is real sushi or sushi roll taste like not California roll for 5.99) this place a must to visit. We family) came from Hawaii and was looking for good sushi place. We checked out many places in Richmond area before we found Sakura. This place offers Fresh sushi for reasonable price. We come here every weekend now.

I happened upon this restaurant by accident last year. It was my intention to dine from the regular (the usual) menu. The hostess asked if I liked sushi to which I replied, No. I was invited to try a roll. To say the least, 'I 'm Hooked '. The freshness of each roll is excellent. The atmosphere, decor, and service added to this, my first sushi experience. I eat there at least once a week.

My friend and I were trying to find someplace to eat after work and we finally decided on Japanese. We called to see when they closed at around 8:15pm and the owner told us that they close at 9 on Sunday's, but he kindly told us that he would wait for us. We arrived at around 8:30 and they greeted us with warm and welcoming faces. The food was fresh (hibachi with shrimp as well as fresh sushi!!! The waitress was kind and did not rush us. The food was also reasonably priced! I will definitely be going back!! They are great!!! Great Customer Service!!! :

Great takeout and dine in, pleasant atmosphere. Eggplant tempura roll is one of my favorites also the shrimp fried rice is amazing. Ranks among best sushi places for me in Richmond.

I have all ways pass the restaurant but I never really went inside. But today something told me I should go while I have the chance; and wow, the atmosphere was filled with Peace and tranquility. After I was dazed looking at the scenery, I had a glimps at the menu and just order something(New York Crunch sushi) just to see if something was at least edible. After I took a bite I was amazed that the food more than edible it was almost addictive. From now on I'm going to order from here as long as this place is still up and running.
