Island Shrimp Co. Rocketts Landing

The food was very good but what stood out was the service. Our server was very nice but the general manger was so sweet and brought us a card for our anniversary and some free appetizers for next time. Overall, everyone was very nice and very sweet. Would go back just before of the people.

The igloo experience was great. The food was ok. We did not experience the greatest with our server. He was not welcoming at all which made us rethink if we should have came.

We did the igloo experience. They advertise as “waterfront” but there are 3 in a triangular set up, so only 2 are actually waterfront. They also advertise as “heated” but the “heat” is actually a tiny space heater that doesn’t even put out enough heat to notice. The night we went was in the low 40s/high 30s and it was almost unbearable. They provided 1 single thin fleece blanket. Many people who had reservations opted to go inside instead. Food got cold very quickly. Server was rude and unhelpful. Went on the last night of their Christmas event and they were out of the majority of the festive drinks which was a huge bummer. Gratuity is already included on checks automatically so maybe that’s why the server didn’t care to be nice or offer recommendations when everything we wanted to order was sold out. Probably won’t return. Igloos were cute though.

We love Island Shrimp. Normally we go during warmer weather to sit outside and enjoy the river view. But recently have been sitting inside during not so busy hours and it’s been just as good! Service and food is always great so we don’t mind their automatic 20% gratuity system. Well worth it!!
