Great Wall - Richmond

Like many other oriental restaurants and fast food spots in Richmond, Indiana, The Great Wall operates on a takeout-only basis and does not have indoor seating. I commend this restaurant for prioritizing the safety of both their employees and customers. Over the last two months, we have ordered from them twice with special requests, and both times our food was ready when we arrived. The portions were generous, the food was piping hot, and everything was absolutely perfect. The vegetables retained their crispness, while the chicken was tender and flavorful. The egg rolls were plentiful and delicious. The sweet and sour chicken was exceptional; the sweet and tangy sauce came separately and there was more than enough to use. The chicken was perfectly cooked, with large pieces that weren't just breaded. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone! It's just a pity we won't be able to stay long enough to try more of their menu. I truly appreciate good food. Oh, and the pork? Simply incredible!

I'm not from Indiana; I actually moved here from Georgia and originally come from Jersey. However, I feel right at home in Indiana thanks to my job! THE GREAT WALL CHINESE RESTAURANT serves the best Chinese food I've ever had, and I've been to many places across the country. Trust my review over the others—this place has food that is absolutely on point!

Great food but the lady who usually works the front counter could be a little more friendly!

Food is always great, has been for the last 25+ years. Only annoying part is they don’t seem to pay attention to special instructions. I started asking for my general tso to be extra spicy in American, never happened, tried it in Chinese tonight. Still no spice increase! Outside of that they are a classic to me, the other spots in town are less than satisfactory when compared to the Great Wall!

The food is decent, but the buffet was better. Now, I'm paying twice as much for a lot less food and fewer options compared to the varied buffet they used to offer.
