Classics Sandwiches & Subs - Richmond

The inside has a retro, step back in time feel.  The people are always friendly and ready to take your order.   The subs are good, always fresh... but what keeps us coming back is the limeades.  Love them!  Nice lunch staple.

Customer oriented - friendly, attentive.  Unfortunately, it doesn't translate into their food.  I ordered the Park Avenue on a wheat sub roll with lettuce a little bit of mayo and side pasta salad.   It was on a white sub roll, lots of mayo, and no prosciutto.  The pasta was mayonnaise based like a chicken or a tuna salad?!  The pasta salad should have been a oil based dressing - there was no description on the menu - I should've asked >:/

The subs are amazing as are the limeades, prepared to order. They remind me of the ones you used to get at Bill's Barbeque back when they were still around. I had the Downtowner and my husband got the Philly Steak and Cheese. Awesome. We licked the paper clean!!

I've been here a few times throughout the years because they have the best fresh limeadeBut today, they forgot the rest of the meat on my sandwich.

Delicious. The philly steak is thin cut steak ("not what I anticipated " says mom) but I really like the flavor. I liked the meatball too.
