Contribuiți la feedbackI wish I could give more than five stars. I reached out to Tonya to see if we could get pizza making lessons with a small group of friends (because the pizza at Anaviv's Table is so good). Tonya was enthusiastic and flexible about helping me set up the event. The event was run by Darren with help from Siyoon. Darren was patient, engaging, and deeply knowledgeable. He guided us through every step of the process, giving us tips and tricks along the way, and by the end we had both a lot of pizzas to enjoy right then and plenty of dough to bring home to make more ourselves. Siyoon helped everything run smoothly so that we could all have a good time, and as a parting gift, gave us each a saffron lemon bar to take home with us. My wife and I have always enjoyed visiting Anaviv's Table in all of its incarnations. We're excited about how they continue to grow, and just so impressed by everyone on their staff. Thank you!
Unfortunately, Anaviv 's Table has closed at the former location of 600 Hoffman Blvd. in Richmond. This is expected to be temporary, but possible timing and location plans are being held close to the vest. I was fortunate to have been there for the closing weekend special menu on Saturday 12/10/2022 and had one of the most delicious meals I have had in many years. Appearing to be a simple bowl of rice, some thin but ample squares of beef and some precisely cut little parallelograms of vegetable, it was a perfectly prepared and seasoned dish with the most tender cut of meat I think I 've ever had. The chef and kitchen clearly put in such attention to skill and detail that I was strongly reminded of places I 've been where they have recruited top chefs from the big city across the bay in the days well before the lockdowns. It was incredibly delicious! I had black coffee with my meal, a smooth and flavorful cup of what might have been some of the finest Columbian, maybe with some Kona (I 'm no expert), also exceptionally delicious. There was live entertainment that night, a fairly regular thing, with exciting Spanish style guitar, song, and dance, really wonderful. The audience was very tuned in, clapping along with the intricate rhythms, and one fellow diner even had castanets to enliven a few moments in between numbers. They seem to have clearly and deservedly outgrown their space and I eagerly look forward to the hoped-for reopening.
We like this place but. Today it was not so. Pizza was good. Garbanzo dish was not to their standard. One plate was just cooked beans in olive oil, small pcs of tomato. The other plate was fried beans with very hot spices. Humus spread was ok. Will try them again. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch
Love their pizza!! Such a great place to take your kids and family. They have flamenco every Saturday night which I recommend.
Tonight was my first experience, it's very unique, outdoor only, with attentive servers. Exotically flavored pizzas, Fig, Pesto and Margarita for eg. Rice bowls with delicious choices of meats and spicy side complements such as pickled radishes! Rotating menu of specialty entrees, and a wonderful selection of wines and beers. Tonight they had flamenco singers and dancers, so that added spicy entertainment.
