If you’re visiting Richmond or are a local who hasn’t been yet, this place is an absolute must-visit! The view is stunning, and the traditional carvery served outdoors is simply delightful. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, thanks to the friendly staff. Nick and his team are incredibly welcoming, and the food and drink service is exceptional. I can't wait to experience this wonderful Sunday again soon! The Rose of York truly embodies the essence of Richmond—definitely a five-star experience!

The service was excellent. Although it took a bit of time for the food to be served, we were part of a large group, and the meal was quite enjoyable when it finally arrived.

If you're looking for something unique and tranquil in a spacious area of Richmond, this is the place to be. It's a charming historic hotel and bar. Fiona and Kath are exceptional hosts, ensuring that all guests are well taken care of. Regular patrons are also welcomed and monitored. While it may not be a five-star establishment, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and truly appreciate its authenticity.

Nice, English, vegan friendly. Feels like in an Agatha Christie episode or a P.G. Woodhouse story. Wood cladding and horse paraphernalia all around. Very cozy.

I always pass by this place but finally had a chance to visit this place with my car. I parked in the customer parking area and took a lot of photos plus videos because the place is so nice. We only had one drink because I was driving and we had it in balcony area which was very cool, the staff are very polite, kind and professional I will definitely visit this place again and I highly recommend it. It’s just very nice to seat inside or outside this place. Next time I will try food but this time we came for food but they didn’t serve.
