Contribuiți la feedback- The cheapest drinks are priced around $5. - They have interesting selections like kiwi soda, yogurt parfait, and aloe drinks. - The restaurant opens late.
I ordered the Kung Pao chicken, but it tasted strangely flaky and soft like fish. It did not taste like chicken at all and gave me a terrible stomach ache.
We ordered three drinks and it took 35 minutes to arrive, even though the dining room was empty. We ordered two honey lemon black teas and one honey lemon green tea.
The decor here is pretty spacious and casual. The service is typical Asian, prompt and comes when flagged, but not so friendly. I come here often for their particular Chicken and peanut in chili sauce with rice Combo, as pictured, for $10.95. It comes with a large portion of chicken (enough for two servings; you'll probably need extra rice), bowl of rice, and a side dish with pickled carrots and daikon, peanuts, and a fruit jelly snack. I order the chicken dish for $14.95 by itself, to go, and make my own rice sometimes. This portion is large enough for about 3-4 meals, depending on how much you eat.The chicken dish is very delicious - smoky, crunchy peanuts, soft chicken, savoury, and spicy, a wonderful combination altogether. You may need to remove many dry chilli pieces to lower the hot content, as I do. The rice is nice and soft for absorbing the sauce. It is a bit on the greasy side, so I remove chicken skins to lower the fat content. They seem to use thigh meat here, which is more flavourful. The bubble teas here have gotten smaller over the years, but still comparable to other places in price and size. I have ordered grapefruit greet tea, passion fruit green tea, grape green tea, and taro milk tea - all with pearls (tapioca balls). I find the green tea based drinks lighter and refreshing. The grape drink is too sweet, so I order half sweet. All these drinks are delicious. Their fried squid tentacles comes with a savoury garlic chili sauce priced at $7.95. They are great on their own or with the sauce. I prefer this dipping sauce to other places (with sweet chilli sauce and too sweet). The squid is always cooked perfectly with a delicious light savoury batter. It is nicely soft and chewy. The eggplant with minced pork in garlic sauce for $11.95 (rice for extra $1.50) was another yummy. This is another savoury, but a bit oily dish. The eggplants are soft and the portion is large enough for two servings.I highly recommend this place for their extensive well priced menu, large portions of delicious food, and great selection of yummy bubble teas. This is a go-to Asian spot for me.
My big family and I went there for dessert after dinner. It was disappointing. We ordered hot grass jelly and they came out not hot all at. They were like jelly instead of thick liquid hot grass jelly is supposed to be like. At least, that's the form my family remembered back in Taiwan. We also ordered Tofu dessert with grass jelly added. The taste was very bland for both the tofu and grass jelly. Hot logan teas were ok according to my parents. We also ordered some snacks and again they were not up to standard that we expected Taiwanese snacks to be. There was a 15% service charge automatically on top of bill because of numbers of people. I had to say there was practically no services. Water jar and glass were put on the table. They came to deliver drinks and food. That's it. The place wasn't even busy. They also sell food other than snacks. Perhaps they are tasty but my family and I won't be returning to try them.
