Ever since I migrated to Canada and lived in Richmond for over 20 years, it is my first experience with this restaurant though my car passed by thousand times. The front door is located at the back of the mall not to be seen from driving along No. 3 Road. Decoration and seating are good with reserved many parking spaces right outside restaurant. Food is just above average. The pineapple fry rice is a bit moist as commented by others. Pad thai can be improved by adding slightly more peanuts and eggs. The satay strips are good but can be improved. Curry is so so. The spinach is quite salty. Fried shrimp cakes are also so so. Pricewise, mid range though services are good. Very limited choices on dessert with most of them - ice cream.
Haven't been here in a while, for no particular reason; just so many places in this city. So it was refreshing to visit yesterday and find that the food is just as good as I remembered it. We didn't have a chance to try many items, but the red curry that we had, the seafood noodles and the mango/sticky rice were well done. They've closed the Robson street locale because of crazy rents, but the Richmond locale works for me. Eric the manager is very hospitable. Will try to come more often.
I dine at this restaurant about once a month and am always pleasantly surprised by how professional and courteous every staff member is.
The service at this restaurant is top-notch. The green curry is outstanding and the tomyam gong is fantastic.
