Contribuiți la feedbackI visited this restaurant with high hopes, as I had fond memories of Rhino House from its days above a bowling center in Aberdeen. However, this new Rhino House (just a translation of its Chinese name) left much to be desired. While the parking was convenient as part of Landsdowne Mall, that was the only positive aspect compared to its competitors. It was a quiet weekday afternoon at 2, yet the seats were uncomfortable and the food was prepared incorrectly, with no attention paid to allergy ingredients. The waiter apologized half-heartedly, explaining that the kitchen staff had not taken note of his instructions. Although he offered to have the dish remade, we chose not to inconvenience the kitchen further. In the end, we decided to finish what we could eat and leave, as there were many other dining options available.
Located in Lansdowne Mall, this restaurant is in the same spot as the former California restaurant. Despite hearing negative reviews from friends, my opinion completely changed after having lunch here today. Most dishes are under $8 and come with complimentary hot drinks. The food is delicious and the service is excellent. The recent re-decoration has greatly improved the atmosphere and ensures a sense of privacy. Additionally, the parking situation is convenient.
This restaurant is one of my favorite spots for Happy Hour. The prices are unbeatable (highballs for $3!) and the service is always excellent.

A couple weeks ago while in Vancouver we stopped in at Earl's Kitchen and bar.
