Kizami Japanese Cuisine - Richmond

This is one of the best sushi places in town! The flavors are amazing and truly unique. I strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting to explore new sushi dishes and savor fantastic flavor combinations!

We decided to try another Japanese restaurant in Richmond and opted for Kizami Japanese Cuisine for an early dinner. Fortunately, we arrived before the crowd, so we were the first ones there and could enjoy our meal in peace without any wait. We started with Toro sashimi, which was delightful as always. Sashimi in Vancouver is typically very fresh, so there's really not much to complain about.

One particular server's attitude was disappointing when we attempted to order an item that was no longer available. Instead, she suggested a higher-quality alternative at double the price. After ordering several other dishes, we asked to think it over, only for her to walk away before we finished. I had to call her back multiple times to finalize our order, which should not have been necessary, especially since we were spending nearly $300 for just four adults. While I may consider returning, it won’t be anytime soon. I hope that by the time I do visit again, the staff will have improved their customer service skills. It's unfortunate because the chefs did an outstanding job with the quality ingredients! I have more photos to share but have reached the upload limit. We also ordered beef tongue, deep-fried cheese chikuwa, deep-fried pork intestine, and onigiri!

This is a fantastic spot for late-night sushi and yakitori. While the prices are a bit on the higher side, I can't complain since they stay open late and the food is delicious. I also appreciated their attention to presentation and packaging, especially the use of sustainable bamboo materials. It was a nice extra touch!

The sashimi is very fresh, and the miso eggplant is delicious. Just a heads-up: they add a 2% fee for credit card payments.
