Happy Tree House Bbq Mù Wū Tàn Kǎo

We were the first ones to arrive, and our order came out quickly. The food was tasty, but everything seemed to have the same seasoning, making it hard to distinguish the different meats as I would have preferred. The portion sizes were generous; the steamed clams were my favorite, although I wanted to try the smelt but was too full from the other dishes. The staff was friendly and attentive, taking the time to explain the menu to us. I would definitely return.

My favorite place for lamb skewers! Their side dishes are delicious as well! I especially love the mung bean pasta and yam chips. Just don't expect the best service, though—it's Richmond!

However, the beer selection was limited to just Heineken and Qingdao, which is surprisingly small for a place like this. That being said, it didn't detract from the excellent food. On the downside, the restaurant can get quite loud if there’s a large group, so if you're looking for a quieter, more private dining experience, this might not be the right choice for you.

I used to frequent the Happy Tree House BBQ franchise, particularly the location on Kingsway Street in Vancouver. While the prices are a bit on the higher side, it's a nice spot for the occasional get-together. I highly recommend trying the grilled fish, durian donut, and barbecue lamb. Make sure to opt for a fresh fish dish instead of a pickled one, as the freshness is worth it. However, the music can sometimes be too loud, and the chatter from other patrons can be distracting, so if you're looking for a quieter atmosphere, you might want to consider another place. Overall, I still recommend this franchise for anyone wanting to enjoy some Asian cuisine. As for parking, there are 7 to 8 spots available next to the restaurant.

The food is incredible and the service is prompt. Everything I tried was absolutely delicious!
