Cucina Piccolo Italian - Richmond

This is my second time to dine at this restaurant. The first experience was fine, the waitress was nice, food was ok. However, this time, there is an old man who appears to be the owner or manager of this restaurant walked around without wearing a mask! And not only that, he also greeted and helped customers!

Very disappointed with our take out last night. We live in Steveston and have never tried this place before. We ordered 4 dishes. The servings were small and overpriced. The chicken fettuccine Alfredo were $28 each. The fettuccine in clam sauce had barely any sauce or clams and the lasagna only filled up half the size of the take out container which is quite small in itself. This is certainly no Italian Tomato or Anton's. We certainly won't be going back even though we enjoy pasta and this restaurant is in our neighbourhood.

Randomly visit this restaurant this night and found that it is totally out of my expectations! Once we opened the door, I got surprised, their interior design with the Christmas decorations made us feel super cozy. Cozy like I had traveled to some European house. Food are AMAZING, we tried the Lobster Crab ravioli with Rose Shirmp Sauce and Fettuccine Della Casa . They both are delicious, the pasta are chewy and mixed with those sauces are just perfect! Portion are fit maybe I was starving! Will visit again for sure!

Amazing welcome and food that hits the spot every time

We started with the cheesy garlic bread, followed by Fettuccine Della Casa and Angel Hair Salmone. The garlic bread was incredibly soft and had a robust garlic flavor, though it would have been even better with a bit more cheese on top. It came with a house-made marinara sauce, which complemented it perfectly. The Fettuccine Della Casa featured a creamy sauce with scallops, shrimp, mushrooms, and onions. The pasta was cooked to perfection, and the sauce was rich without being overwhelming. There was a nice portion of scallops and shrimp, making it quite satisfying. The Angel Hair Salmone was served in a rose sauce with smoked salmon, peas, and mushrooms. The rose sauce had a hint of pepper, giving it a slight kick. While the smoked salmon was delicious, I felt it could have been more generous, but overall it was quite filling. I even requested the remaining sauce to take home, so I could enjoy it with some bread later. I look forward to my next visit!
