LOVE Hogs Head Cafe!!!Update May 2024No changesWe haven't had any issues at hogs head Cafe. We can't be upset any longer when staff are working with way less staff than before the pandemic... its societies normal now. Yiu can't go to a big store with barely more than 2 cashiers. People haven't stopped going out to eat, shop or get gas so.... we're always pleased here.

Went for lunch today. This wasn’t our first visit. We are repeat customers, as this place is always great. The food was delicious, service good, and solid bar atmosphere. Highly recommend this place. They also have a specials menu that changes regularly, so you always have different options in addition to the regular food.

Went for the 1st time as part of Central Virginia Spades meetup group. The atmosphere was cozy. The service was wonderful. The staff was extremely helpful and very attentive. Its a great place for parties and gatherings. Includes an upstairs and downstairs patio.The food was the star of the show. It was so delicious, well seasoned, good portions.I don’t drive, took 2 hours by bus from downtown Richmond. I would make that trip again with no hesitation just to eat there again. Highly recommend!(Make sure you try the sweet potato fries with the dipping sauce!

I'm here. When we sat down the table was super sticky. It still had Wing residue all over the top of it that got on my arms. It was pretty gross, we asked him to wipe it down they did. They got rid of some of it but it was still there. I recommend bringing a long sleeve shirt or a hoodie you don't mind if you plan on touching the tables.On top of that it was advertised as half price wings and half price beer all day, The waitress then attempted to tell me that it was not half price beer and I had to point it out to her in order to get the price. Caused by this country and then when I finally got my check she had charged us full price on wings, I also had to send that back to get that corrected and point out that it was half price wings... A guests should not have to correct or tell an employee how to do their job.And after the waitress tried to overcharge me twice, she then added $2 for a 2 oz ramekin of sour cream, and $0.50 for a 2 oz ramekin of blue cheese. Neither of the these were discussed with us beforehand, The waitress had asked if we needed any blue cheese or anything and we said yes and that was the end of the conversation.The place has pretty good food but waitress we had this time around was very standoffish and I was not happy with the overall experience as a result.I will be going back simply because of the food but if I'm sat at this waitresses section I will request to be changed to a different location because this is not the experience I want to pay to have.Most of the waitresses I've been there and had experiences with were great but this one must have been fairly new, and seemed to be focused more on nickel and diming the bill than actually providing good service. After I sent the bill back to be corrected the first time she took 10 minutes to come back and get it. It was fairly obvious she was intentionally making us wait because she disappeared as if she had taken her break while she knew we were trying to leave.

Too loud. Wanted one good greens and veggies salad option-not offered. Went w friends, I know it's not my cuppa!
