Trucker's Cafe - Richardson

I'm very disappointed. I live in Cedar Hill and drove here to get some fried ribs, and it was a waste of time. I should have checked my order before I left, but given I ordered through DoorDash, I assumed it was verified. Wrong, got home all to have baked ribs. This is my second time driving here for fried ribs and not getting them. It won't be a 3rd time. I'm tired of being disappointed.

Delicious food. Large portions. Great customer service. I found this place delivering for uber. It smelled delicious but the reviews had me a bit worried, so it took a friend of mine asking if there was a soulfood place that I've been wanting to try to make the leap. It's one of those places that you can point to what you want, so immediately I was a bit overwhelmed because the place was smelling right, and EVERYTHING was looking delicious. After a couple of minutes, watching me with big eyes and a bit of drool in the corner of my mouth, the kind lady behind the counter asked me what I'd like and I told her it all looked good, and she said I could sample anything to help with my decision...I didn't need to sample too much before I decided on the ribs, fried Cabbage and yams. They've got something with that sauce and the yams were soooo good. Don't let the other reviews deterr you from some of the best soul food out there yall. I'll definately be going back!Parking: Plenty of easily accessible parking.

A few weeks ago I ordered chicken/dressing through Door Dash! It wasn't on the menu so Paulette(owner)said put in the notes and I will get it! We'll I didn't get it, so she said l could come in and get another plate. I told her I had no way so she said when I want it just ask for her she will give it to me and add some things. So today I called my order in because I'm still on Doctor's orders so I told her lyft will be bringing me and I'm calling in my order or chicken _dressing. At first she said we must have a credit card for call in orders. I explained to her who I was so I told her that's fine I can pay for my stuff but I also want a vegetable plate. When I go pick it up she have it ready I pay for the vegetable plate plus tip. I ask her was the chicken/dressing in there she said yes. When I get home it's a serving of dressing where they scraped the pan, it tasted burnt. There was no chicken, the Broccoli/cheese I ordered was so nasty and didn't look appetizers at all. I was so disappointed the only thing I ate was the black-eyed peas and corn bread. I paid 16.99 for lyft and 12.00 for a vegetable plate that I didn't eat, to go get dressing that I had been craving then it was nasty but didn't get what I was promised. I was very disappointed, disgusted that's the first time my I've ever had a bad experience at this place and it will be the last. When the OWNER PAULETTE can't keep her word that's a problem for me.

The food is good, the attitudes of the younger workers were not good. They dont greet you when you come in or thank you for coming when you leave. Bad service can override good food!!!!. I wont be going back!?

A co-worker and I visited this place for dinner. Upon walking in, it wasn’t what I excepted, but the staff and the atmosphere made it an wonderful experience!The food was delicious (soul food) and there was a variety of dishes to choose from! Had to wait a few minutes on the catfish, but it was worthwhile!Only take back was the amount it cost for two dinner plates. Other than that, this is such a great spot if you are looking for some awesome soul food!
