Great zoo. the animals don't feel like locked up. the Japanese garden is a must to see. perfect panoramic view of ribeirão.

Beautiful place, many animals, birds and green. no entry fee. at the entrance eat churros, they are very tasty best in the city.

Nice place overall. Not so good about parking your car though. There's no parking lot, so you have to park in the street, probably a little bit far from the entrance. Food is very simple. It's good to have some snacks and water, soda... I saw some complaints about maintenance, but there's not so much to improve. Looking for a stunning zoo? Get a African safari. Also, there's an entrance for a Japanese Garden (inside the zoo) with small lakes full of turtles and carps and a view-point to the city. A must-see!

Lovely patch of green, free, nice trees. But the cages for the animals are too small and many of the animals are very distressed.
