Punto Y Coma - Riano

We were hungry and stumbled upon this restaurant almost by accident. We were most pleasantly surprised by the friendly atmosphere and helpfulness of the staff. We had enjoyed the magnificent drive down to Riana from Potes and as we approached this modern urbanization, we were...unsure if we would find traditional Spanish hospitality. We need not have worried the restaurant Punto y Coma' was just what we needed: Excellent food, friendly staff and good service.

This was a great treat to our trip around the area. The croquettes are the best we have ever had and the service so good. The owner even stopped us from ordering to much food. Hope we will be able to come here again.

We stopped at Riaño because it lies at a lake with nice views. Good place to take a lunch break. Restaurante Punto y Coma was just a lucky shot! We took some raciones to start with. What delicious tastes! The owner has really a heart...for food! He uses a mix of flavours of which I was surprised they exist (first time I tasted black salt). We also got some small appetizers fo which he was proud to present, for example the homemade chorizo which was so good. He would like to export this chorizo which I hope it succeeds, because it's worhtwhile. Believe me, this is a hidden gem.
