Really lovely place. Mid winter and very quiet with a warm fireplace. Service was impeccable and food really delicious. Definitely be going back.
My partner and I had dinner last weekend and we ordered the Pork cheek and Dukkah Lamb, both were beautiful and the cheek was nice and tender. The deserts were quite average, panna cotta on the sharing plate was a bit too stiff for me and sticky date a little dry. But overall the food was not too bad.
We stopped by last night for dinner not having any idea where could end up. On our way to Cowes someone in the backseat suggested The Foreshore at Rhyll which I'd never tried during all of my sojourns to that lovely coastal town. The wait staff were quite accommodating even though we were blow ins and they were really busy. The food was really nice with top quality ingredients and produce. Someone at the table ordered the pork cheek which was sublime as I had a taste. The menu is quite diverse so there should be something to fit every penchant.
There are days when you just want a steak. Period. Though my boyfriend do seem to have them more often than most. Either way, this was one of those days. The Foreshore Bar Restaurant has been recommended to us by a rather picky friend, who actually would only dine in two places on the island! Surely that’s got to be a good sign. The balcony overlooking the Rhyll jetty was an added bonus, especially at sunset.
