After having enjoyed tasty, fresh pike fillet at the Fischerhof on the day before, we now test the short-fried Gasthof Endler, a restaurant of the meat shop of the same name, located opposite the castle Marstalles of Rheinsberg. The offer board promises Entrecôte, the best piece from the high rib of the bark, for €17.90. This, however, without the otherwise customary quantity indication. A covered courtyard is located in front of the actual meat shop restaurant, whose decoration leaves much to be desired: a dusty Buckwitch and other relics of the past decades convey pubic character and no longer correspond to contemporary appliances in the dining restaurant. The Entrecote is quite dimensioned, unfortunately somewhat too sharply roasted, but well boiled on the point medium and served accordingly quickly. Potato columns and salad decoration saturate as well as the fat-grown, delicate steak. The grounded service, seems more slaughtered specialist than learned service, but is concerned about the welfare of the guests and recommends a drink rarely offered in Germany.
