Meuser - Rhein-Kreis Neuss

A very old building that used to serve as a moving place for horses who used to pull the barges on the Rhine. good food and rustic place.

We found this by chance, I'm so glad we did. excellent place, full of local and quiet and positive atmosphere. the service is very much too fast, despite full house. I've never tasted pancakes with speck, German art like...this, the combo with glazed old beer is incredible. we eat here twice. the next time that I am in düsseldorf, I will dine here and not one of the crowded places below, where the service is slow and quality of the food so-so.

A visit to meuser’s is a visit in Germany of pastness. this five-year family restaurant is an experience that you should not miss when you visit düsseldorf. the hotel is located in the Niederkassel area of düsseldorf meuser’s offers an excellent menu of German specialties....The food and services are always excellent. when we lived in düsseldorf, we visited meuser’s every week. Do not forget to have a few old beers and a velvety collar with their meal!

This place is very old and has the original atmosphere from old Simple interior but made us feel good. Menu has not to many items but each dish is excellent! My recommendation is the meat dish with things home made. Simple with bread but...very very tasty. Service was very friendly. Tip: you can only pay with german bank cards so you need to bring cash with you if you don't have a german bank account.

That's where the insiders and locals go to to have a glass of Alt-Beer (or two .. and half a Pancake with Bacon, in Niederkassel across the River Rhine, more or less opposite the Duesseldorf exhibition grounds The restaurant in Niederkassel, a former Roman fortification...on the left hand side of the river, is now almost years old (Anno and for some years in the hands of the Meuser Family. You'll find a cosy pub atmosphere, tasty pancakes and when in season, sought after asparagus dishes with fresh asparagus grown along the Dutch border. And later, if you are not yet tired, have a walk along the street to discover the adjacent restaurants competing with the Altstadt (historic center) of Duesselddorf.
