A&W Restaurant - Revelstoke

I was a bit put off by the number of flies in the otherwise tidy restroom (i.e., if there are so many flies in here, how bad must the kitchen be?) However, the hubs said his visit was fine, and the rest of the place looked clean, so we went ahead and ordered. We ordered Mozza and Papa burgers, fries and drinks. All tasted great and were prepared quickly. The condiments station was clean and well-stocked, including a fresh new bottle of Red Hot sauce – yum!We don't normally stop for fast food, however the burgers are better than most and we had a recent good experience at another A&W. I'd be willing to stop here again.

Awkwardly located close to the TransCanada and gas stations, this A&W provides the usual good burgers and outstanding Onion Rings that one expects at A&W’s. They were busy and service seemed a bit slower than expected. We also found it a bit confusing to get into and back on the TransCanada. It did, however, provide above average food for a fast stop.

Stopped at this location while travelling from Alberta to Chilliwack and was initially dismayed at the line up to order. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the reason for the line up was their serving customers in order of their arrival. The ordering took a very short time and our food was provided quickly by the friendly counter staff. I was impressed by the way this busy time was handled by all the staff in a well organized and orchestrated manner. Our food was delicious and we left having enjoyed this pleasant break in our travels.

Ausnahmsweise Frühstück im Schnellrestaurant ausprobiert. Gute Auswahl, freundliches Personal, guter Kaffee in richtiger Kaffeetasse, typisch kanadisches Frühstück frisch zubereitet einfach mit Pappteller und Plastikbesteck.

A real shabby A & W. It's obvious the owners don't care and that attitude extends to the employees. The restaurant feels grimey and obviously little time is spent cleaning. Employees are barely focused on the customer though they do get the orders right. I worry how clean the kitchen is though. The ambiance is further enhanced by employees sleeping in the dining area. This was far from the standard franchise experience and reminded me of a real greasy spoon roadside burger joint. Those can be good, but they also don't charge $12 for a burger. Step it up A & W Revelstoke.
