Millers Fish & Chips - Reservoir

The restaurant has recently changed ownership but I was still happy with the quality of their fish and chips, dim sims, and kartoffel cake. They use a different oil for frying which may not be the healthiest option but it makes the food affordable. The use of this oil results in drier food, which is fine by me as I don't indulge in this type of cuisine very often. I am okay with consuming this type of oil on occasion.

We have been regulars at this fish and chip shop for years as it is close to home and the food has always been generous, affordable, and delicious. However, tonight we were disappointed with our order. The fish bites for the children were much smaller and dry compared to our previous visits. The chips were stingy and dry, lacking in flavor. The burger was okay but seemed to be missing some ingredients. My partner's calamari rings were clearly frozen and not very appetizing. It turns out that the business has changed ownership, which may explain the higher prices and decrease in quality. Hopefully, they will improve in the future, but I don't think we will be returning after this sad and unpleasant dining experience.

My partner and I went to this restaurant for dinner tonight and took advantage of their group offer. The waitress was friendly and attentive, and we had fish and chips with a side of bread and butter, along with a pot of tea for two. The tartar sauce was delicious, and it was clearly homemade. The restaurant is clean and modern, and the staff are welcoming and helpful. The food was satisfactory, and we were pleased to have such a hidden gem so close to home. We will definitely be returning soon and highly recommend this restaurant, although it is already well-regarded.

I just had the burger and chips. If you crave an old school burger that is large and juicy without the frills then you could do worse than go here. I think it cost me $6 and another $2 for the chips.
