Sporthotel Spoegler - RENON

We stayed here as really tired family. We ´ve got nice service, good beer and really great strudel. Close to earthpyramides attractions.

This is a quaint hotel and restaurant with a very large parking area and a good sized patio. We did not stay at the hotel but did enjoy the restaurant. On our first night in the area we came here for dinner. The pasta was delicious. The goulash was delicious. The spinach and cheese dumplings were questionable, very possibly a cultural surprise on our part or a misunderstanding of the menu. But two out of three great meals for an English speaking party ordering off a German/Italian menu is pretty good! We stopped here again on our last day in town just to have a drink on the patio and enjoy a midday break. We had a high energy 2yo both times and they were very gracious with us about her, never making us feel rushed to leave.

We dropped in for lunch and were shown to a table and given a very extensive menu. We both chose the sausage (Heiße Wurstchen) served with potato chips. Taste was superb and a couple of beers just added to the whole experience. Friendly staff were only too willing to help with any request. We were made to feel at home. While this was a very basic meal it was exactly what we were after. I would happily go back and explore the menu further if I ever found myself there again.

Ottima esperienza gustativa, davvero soddisfatto, un pò costoso ma per la zona ci sta, si mangia molto bene e il posto è molto carino. Unico neo è stato il coperto, inesistente, posate avvolte in un tovagliolo di carta e basta. Quello non mi è piaciuto per niente.

We stayed at the Sonnen residence near by, and had breakfast at this hotel. It was extremely unsatisfying. Never had such a lousy meal before. Overboiled eggs, roomtemperature for the dairy, and the Meat. Dry bread. Had to ask for refills ... Will not return.
