The Emerson Cocktail Lounge - Reno

I've been wanting to come in here for a long time, and tonight's the night! Really great service, drinks, and atmosphere!

One star because they pulled more funds off my bill than I signed off on. That's poor taste.I tipped but if they don't like the amount provided, it seems they will extract more money.Always remember to take your receipt!I intentionally did not, to test them, and they failed.I support Reno local businesses but how can one feel confident in the business' follow through if they pull stunts like this?

Super chill and friendly bar. Some great bartenders that can make just about anything you ask for and even introduce you to some new stuff. They 're known for their drag shows and parties, but I like going even on a slow night and just hanging out at the bar. It 's gay friendly from what I hear, but you 'll find all kinds of people here.

Came to town with a friend to visit our mutual buddies and study/take my boards. We went out to celebrate and were THRILLED when we came across this gem. It is so cute and cozy. Plus, the bartender made some BOMB drinks for the dealers choice . There was some sort of blueberry whiskey something or other and it was AMAZING. I will forever think of that drink. So. Good.

One of my favorite cocktail bars in Midtown! It is in a great location that is walking distance to several other cool bars, coffee shops, and stores. The inside has really cute decorations and they have a nice patio to enjoy your drink right on the main street of Midtown. They have seasonal menus with rotating cocktail options. I got the Midnight Mass primarily because I am Catholic and loved the name, but also because the flavors sounded good! It has vanilla-infused vodka, fresh blackberries, orgeat, lemon, and topped with soda. Some of my friends got it and said it tasted like cough syrup, another girl at the bar told me she thinks it is the best cocktail she's ever had. I thought it was really good and did not get the couch syrup vibe, thankfully! Most of their cocktails are around $12 which is a pretty typical price. Their bathrooms have fun decorations, one is completely pink and the other is completely blue (we are talking walls, toilets, decorations, etc all color coordinated). The Emerson hosts a lot of fun events which they usually advertise on their social media. If you have a friend who appreciates an artsy cocktail bar, be sure to stop by The Emerson!
