La Cucina - Reno

We started with garlic bread drizzled with olive oil, which was a nice touch, but I wish they had baked the bread instead of serving it raw. I ordered the pasta bolognese, which arrived very quickly—definitely a warning sign. The plate had too much water on it, and the pasta had varying temperatures and textures, indicating it wasn't made properly. The sauce was bland, watery, and missing salt, making the dish mushy. The meatballs also lacked flavor, tasting as if they were mostly bread. I'm not sure where the high ratings come from, but as far as authentic Italian food goes, it was just average—fine for a quick meal, but nothing special.

I had a wonderful meal that brought the flavors of Italy to life, all in a hidden gem of a location. The atmosphere is authentically traditional, and there's plenty of parking available. The prices range from moderate to high, with options for various budgets. I'm definitely planning to return.

My second time here was just as good as the first. Friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive staff. The food is always flavorful and well executed. Prices are competitive not too high. This restaurant is part of my regular rotation of places to eat in Reno. Chicken Marsala was delicious. My favorite takeaway is the Spicy Angel which is consistently yummy.

Tuscan Salmon is phenomenal! I've had about every dish and they are all amazing. Favorite place.
