Contribuiți la feedbackLanded in Reno and just wanted a quick, easy dinner. The casino is throw back from charming 80s. Take elevator to 3rd floor for Top Deck restaurant. Diner with fancy food what a surprise. Ordered chili, eggs hash and pork chop dinner. Pork chops pounded thin and pan fried crispy simple good. Got there late were out of baked potatoes balsamic dressing. Great value $30 total, like back to 80s. Service small town friendly.
I was back in town, so I decided to come over for breakfast. Unfortunately, the days of the .99 Ham and eggs are long gone. Still, where else can you get a steak and eggs for only 9.99? Again, the place was clean, and everybody was friendly. I got my food quick. I asked for my steak , medium, and that 's how I got it. Sure, the steak had a little bit of a chew to it, but really, not bad at all. The flavor of the steak was absolutely delicious. My eggs came perfectly over easy just like I asked for them. The hash browns were not greasy at all. They looked like they were overdone, but they were just right. Once again, I was very satisfied with my meal. Thank you.
Oh yes yes I recommend this place. Okay I've only been here once and I had the prime rib and it wasn't quite right, but it was right in old school sort of way! My friend had the land and sea which looked better to me and I wish I would have gotten that but when you're in Reno I think you should eat the prime rib! But this place takes me back to when I was younger, the way I remembered Reno. I love Reno actually. I'll take Reno over Vegas any day! Come here expecting old school honest restaurant food and you won't be disappointed. Enjoy the atmosphere! I was here last October and the staff was really nice. I parked across the street at some lot but they have their own lot there which I should have utilized. I'll check this place out again next time I'm in town!
Top Deck Restaurant is located on the third floor of Cal Neva. The immediate first thing I think of is how they advertise their $9.99 Steak Eggs which is a steal. Friends and I were craving Steak Eggs so decided to come here on a Friday night. The restaurant was not busy we were seated immediately and our waiter was attentive with getting our orders right away and checking up on us throughout the meal. I ordered my Steak Eggs medium rare and it came with eggs, hash browns, and your choice of bread (I got sourdough). Our food came out in a timely manner. My steak turned out fine, it wasn't the best but also not the worst. There was not anything memorable about the food itself. Unfortunately, my friend must have had a bad cut or something because her meat was very chewy she had to spit it out. My other friend ordered the chicken waffles and he was pretty disappointed. His chicken was 2 small chicken tenders on top of a full waffle. It was not an equal ratio and the amount of chicken was minimal for the meal. With that, he was still hungry after the meal. Also, when I asked for A1 sauce they said they didn't have any steak sauce. To me, it was surprising considering that they have multiple steak entrees. The best part about the experience was truly the price of the meal. I spent less than $12.00 for the entire meal and I was pretty full at the end of it. However, I did get a tummy ache later that night. At the end of it all, I would go to a different place to satisfy my Steak Egg craving.
They got me when I saw that they had prime rib and lobster for $16.99. It was one of the few times that my wife agreed to eat red meat during our roadtrip. The prime rib was about a 1/4 inch thick, no more than 1/2 lbs. The lobster was enough for a couple of bites. Corn was my side dish. It was a pretty good meal for the price. I was full after eating it, and did not have to eat anything else. It was good stuff. No complaints.
