Beto's Taqueria - Reno

I'm not typically a fan of Mexican cuisine, but I found it to be quite decent.

I had the worst service I've ever experienced at this restaurant. The person taking my order was difficult to understand, and it took 20 minutes to receive my chicken taco salad. The chicken tasted like it came from a can, and there was hardly any lettuce in the salad. I definitely won't be ordering it again, especially given that it cost over $12 for what felt like a bowl of rice. To make matters worse, the bottom of the shell was soggy and inedible.

Our $38 meal somehow ended up costing us over $48. The salesperson claimed the credit card machine was down, and he didn't provide us with a receipt (I have a feeling that machine wasn't really out of order either). He attempted to charge us extra for adding avocado to each dish. When it came time for change, he said he didn't have any coins and offered us a 10-cent candy instead of the change we were owed, which was definitely more than 10 cents. He even tried to include a bottle of water, which wasn’t complimentary either. My daughter's tamale was small, and the masa was thick and crunchy... really crunchy! It was just terrible. Usually, you can expect at least decent Mexican food, but this was a huge disappointment!

Never in my life have I had to come home and prepare onions to save my tacos! paying $8 for 2 tacos, I expected cilantro and onions on top at least. This is my 2nd time here, came out of convenience, but I do not recommend. Asada is bland! $5 for a Jarrito is wild.

Food was good, but I feel as if they forgot to give me what I ordered, which was a combo enchilada/ taco w rice and beans. The enchilada and the taco looked the same(2 small corn tortillas with meat. No sauce, cheese, lettuce. The beans and rice were fairly good, but only a couple of tablespoons of each. The food was completely affordable so I expect the quantity went away in order to still be affordable. All in all it tasted good and I would return and perhaps order something different.
