Casa Antonio - Rennes

I believe you can tell a great deal about a restaurant from the people dinning within.

This place reminds me.of some of the excellent restaurants in Japan: only a few tables and meals cooked with great care. Definitely an experience.

Forget about other options in the areaThis is THE place for good high quality French food.

.......I am so sorry, I seriously do not like writing a bad report but with Casa Antonio I feel I must. The pizza had a soggy bottom and obviously the oven did not understand the word crisp. It really was awful, don't go! Hamish, Edinburgh.

The restaurant is situated in a side street in the centre of Rennes with a number of other restaurants including another Italian.It mainly serves pizza with a small number of other Italian dishes and a 'salad of the day'. It has a relatively small number of tables and seems popular with locals and visitors alike. We did not make a reservation but it might be a good idea, especially at the weekends.The manager/waiter is very welcoming and eager to please. Service was good. The food is typical Italian fare, well cooked and nicely presented. It won't win awards but is more than acceptable.We would be happy to go again.
