Contribuiți la feedbackEverything was great individually, the drinks as always are good, the servers happy, attentive, and helpful, the food was nice. However everything was let down by the speed of service, and what seems either a lack of communication or coordination between the kitchen and front of house staff. It shouldn’t take 45 minutes to get 4 nips, and it shouldn’t take an hour to get food (especially when it’s pizza) only to have one meal (a salad) forgotten, have to ask about it twice and then have it delivered almost another hour later (which even if made from scratch is way to long for a salad) again after the other food has gone cold or long since been finished. To then find we had no cutlery, which we asked for and in the end had to pilfer an unused set from another table as it was obvious our request had been forgotten. We would have ordered a second round of drinks but where concerned we wouldn’t get it before the everything closed.

Was quite disappointed in our most recent trip. Took 20mins for us to be recognized and asked for drinks/food. Drinks didn’t come until after food was almost finished, food order was messed up. Was not busy at all however seemed to be a lot of staff, but all underage or inexperienced. Food was Luke warm when served. Hopefully this was just a once off.
Lunch was great. Definitely a place to visit for a special occasion. In love with the Mulberry Gin. Beautiful setting.
We've been many times before, but won't be heading back any time soon. We booked online and when we arrived we lined up to let them know we were there. After being ignored for 10 minutes we found our own table and seated ourselves. We ordered from the table using the QR code and app, not wanting to be ignored for another 10 minutes at the counter. We then waited about 45 minutes and I eventually had to go to the counter to ask where our order was. The waitress, whilst friendly, was confused and that's when the manager got involved. He was dismissive and rude, telling me that they hadn't recieved our order, and seemed annoyed at me when I showed him my reciept. His attitude was disgusting, blaming anyone else he could think of and showing no accountability or offering no apology for the situation. It got to the point where I had to ask him what mistake had I made, because he insisted that it wasn't their fault. He said they were still happy to make our order, which I thought was generous considering I'd paid for it nearly an hour earlier by this stage, so I had to show him my receipt again for him to write down the order. At this stage he told me (he didn't ask me) that he would suplement our entree for something else because they didn't have it available, and was annoyed when I asked for a refund for the entree (side note: the particular entree was the main thing we wanted). He then told me that he would personally bring our drinks over immediately.... 10 minutes later he sent a waiter over with our drinks, but he had written the order wrong and sent my son a glass of wine instead of a soft drink! Over all, the mistake was unfortunate, but the handling of the mistake was appaling. I had heard from others that they'd had similar experiences here I had defended the place, but having experienced it ourselves now, I wouldn't reccomend 23rd Street to anyone until they have a serious change in attitude and management.
