Ambition and skill and interesting choices mixed amongst the everyday dishes. Such as fish and chips like you have never seen before. Mussels and chips was classic, but very good and generous. The cafe gourmand - coffee with a selection of mini desserts - was pretty sensational. A (young) family restaurant aiming at something authentic, local but also trying to push beyond the predictable. Interesting decor making the most of the the faded glory of the place. Go and try.
