Contribuiți la feedbackExcellent food. A taste experience of very good quality. Unfortunately, the entire feel-good package was lost when we wanted to pay. The message that we wanted to pay without taking dessert or coffee threw the boss off guard. Even after being told several times that it was a good fit for us, they didn't stop offering anything. At the end of this really good experience I had a very unsatisfactory aftertaste. Too bad
Excellent food, nice ambience and friendly service
I would swear that I have reviewed this restaurant on TA in the past....but I've had a few other reviews I've done go missing, too. Anyway, any time I stay at the Moevenpick Regensdorf, I have dinner at Hot Wok. I found it by accident...the first time and I look forward to it when I come back. Friendly owner and good service. A nice mix of Thai, Chinese, Malaysian, Japanese, and Indian fare. I love their hot and sour soup and I always get the Duck Sizzler. I don't get enough duck in the US so I eat it as much as I can when in Germany or Switzerland. Tonights was the plumpest, meatiest duck breast I've ever had. Free parking a couple blocks from the Moevenpick. Restaurant itself has been recently redecorated. It is not an inexpensive meal by American standards. A beer, a soup, and the entrée were 55CHF
The hot wok bistro restaurant is located in the community center roos in regensdorf. a somewhat unusual environment for an Asian restaurant....More
First off, aside from local residents, not many people actually have cause to visit Regensdorf. It's a nice little suburb of Zürich. Secondly, even people who are in Regensdorf would likely miss this restaraunt. It is located in a community center which usually does not...bode well in matters of cuisine. Once inside however, this inviting family run restaraunt is bustling with locals. The extensive menu offers specialities from India, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, and China. Everything is freshly made and has a real home-cooked taste. Aside from peas, I doubt there is a frozen vegatable on the premises. Whether you're in the mood for a spicy dish or something more subtle, meat or vegetarian, hearty appetite or not so much, you will find a dish to suit youl. Because of its location in a community center, Hot Wok is especially family friendly. There is a playground for children just outside that can be viewed through the floor to ceiling windows. In summer parents can dine on the terrace while their children play. Prices are also family friendly. A Migros Fitness Park is located just across Roosstrasse. I highly recommend a day of fitness and wellness followed by a nice dinner at Hot Wok. You will go home happy and relaxed.
