Goldenes Kreuz - Regensburg

A waiter went and searched for an English menu as soon as he heard me talking. The cake selection was astonishing and when I settled on the Bienenstich I was not disappointed. Coffee was good and the ambience also pleasant early on a Saturday morning...looking out at the hordes of tourists. Great place for a break in Regensburg.

This cafe is part of a hotel but its perfectly situated on the Haidplatz. We had great service even though the waiter had a hard time with English.

Lovely breakfasts, I recommend the fitness breakfast'. Fantastic tortes and cake in a fantastic location.

One of the traditional coffee houses in Regensburg. Great selection of cakes and tortes. When it's busy service can be a little slow but it is worth a visit.

On a beautiful October day in Regensberg we stopped here for morning coffee and were so pleased that we returned and joined the local people for lunch. On both visits we were able to sit outside in the sun. The very pleasant staff had excellent...English and the tasty meals were accompanied by a good salad.
