Oh Baby Sushi - Redwood City

As a vegetarian who has visited Big Daddy Sushi twice, I can confidently say it is my favorite sushi spot. The tempura sushi rolls may not be traditional sushi, but they are delicious. Overall, this restaurant offers tasty vegetarian sushi options. It is a small, bustling place with sometimes long wait times. The quality of service can vary depending on the time of day and how busy it is. Keep in mind that this restaurant is on the pricier side.

This restaurant is incredible. The fish is excellent, and I typically prefer classic nigiri, but they have added their own unique twist that makes it outstanding. They serve dishes like uni on a fried shiso leaf and seared salmon belly. If you enjoy nigiri sushi, I recommend ordering uni, salmon toro, bluefin toro, scallops, amaebi, and hamachi sashimi. Enjoy!

This restaurant gets packed quickly due to limited seating, so arrive early to secure a spot before it closes. I will review our entire order from the first dish received to the last. The Miso Soup had a decent flavor and was a good starter on a cold day. The Avocado Maki (6 pcs) was a simple avocado roll that was nothing special. The Big Daddy Maki was a little bland compared to others, but had really flavorful tofu curd. The Mango and Asparagus roll had a strong asparagus flavor with a good bite and a delicious chef sauce. The Veggie On Fire was slightly spicy but very close in flavor to the Spicy Veggie Roll. Both were absolutely delicious, with the spicy mayo and sriracha sauce complementing each other well. The Spicy Veggie Roll had avocado and tofu filling with spicy mayo, paprika, black sesame seeds, and was lightly deep fried, resulting in a burst of flavors in your mouth. The warm sushi melted in your mouth with a slight bite, making it a must-try dish.

Great place for vegan food (miso soup, salads, and specialized sushi rolls). However, the prices have soared astronomically. Be prepared to show up with one of these .

Was a bit loud and its a small place. The food was fire though. Best vegan rolls i have had. The food was really good so i definitely want to go back.
