Contribuiți la feedbackThe drinks at this restaurant are impressive. The bartender, who also happens to be a manager, made delicious cocktails for us. While we enjoyed them, we found the alcohol content to be a bit too strong for our liking.
Awful..awful..awful. My friends and I came to this restaurant last week on a weekday and waited 30 minutes at an empty bar before anyone even asked us what we wanted. There was no customer service at all! The bartender, a new and unexperienced looking dark-skinned girl, took forever to make our drinks and was incredibly rude, treating us like an inconvenience. We just wanted some drinks, no attitude necessary. The ambience was okay, with a nice interior. I recommend going to a different bar in the area, San Mateo has much better reputation and service. I will not be spending my money here again.
I was extremely dissatisfied with the female bartender working last night. She was incredibly rude to all the customers throughout the evening. I'm not sure if it was because a vendor at the business conference was providing free alcohol for attendees and she wasn't receiving tips, but she was one of the most unpleasant individuals I have ever come across, even when people were trying to be nice to her. She was tall, around 5'11 or 6'0, with dark, curly hair. If I were the owner of this bar, I would be furious.
We came here for NYE and it was a dope experience. The DJ is a bit more generic compared to the one across the street but somehow edit checks the biggest crowd on the street. Nice outdoor space and drink some moderatives
Blacksmith stands out for its reinvigorated look and fresh vibe. The bar and lounge is covered in sleek, dark decor with leather banquettes, a brick fireplace, and sports on TV. Despite its high end look, the cozy ambience makes you feel right at home. Blacksmith boasts a seasonal and regular menu, which include draught beers, regular and sparkling wines, bottled beers, and even Red Bull. All drinks are $3 for happy hour. Their signature drink, the Blacksmith Gimlet, is a must-have. It puts a new spin on the classic gin and lemon juice recipe by adding St. Germain elderflower liqueur with a garnish of fresh basil. Apart from a few bar snacks, Blacksmith does not serve food, but it’s convenient spot in the heart of downtown means there are plenty of options nearby.
