Mod Pizza 161st Ave - Redmond

I have gone a couple of times to this location in Redmond and there will be no more visits moving forward. The pizzas are good but the service is rude and unpleasant from one of the guys at the counter (this has happened twice with the same person on both my visits). HE didn’t understand/listen what I had requested...and then I had to watch him perform a scene as if he is doing me a favor! No thanks “dude”. There are too many choices to dine out in Redmond to have to put up with employees who should consider another line of work if they are so unhappy with their job.

Great location and ease of access in shopping center. MOD, similar to pieology or blaze, is a great make it yourself pizza place. The subway of pizzas. Enjoyed their topping selection and variety including salad options. Music is a bit loud for a business discussion but it does add to the vibe.

This was my first experience at MOD, and it didn't disappoint! I was a bit overwhelmed by the site of all the sauces and toppings that were available to be put on. Who really thinks about what goes on their pizza especially when you have picky children who will only eat cheese or pepperoni pizza? I took a deep breath and just went for it. Minutes later a glaring platter of veggies stared back at me. It left me wondering if there should be a limit on the amount of toppings one could add. The employees struck up a conversation with my kiddo (to win me over all you have to do it acknowledge my kiddos) and they were discussing how to cook the pizza and why some people mix sauces. The pizza had finished cooking in amazing oven by the time the conversation was wrapped up. So maybe 5-10 minutes. I was anxious to dig in, but was slightly worried the crust would be soggy since I overloaded it with veggies. Nope! The thin crust was perfect! I couldn't finish my mod sized pizza at dinner but you can bet I took it back to the hotel to devour while I watched late night tv. The plus side to this? My kiddo who was living off chicken nuggets this trip actually liked his perfect size pepperoni pizza.

Been here several times. It can get crowded, but I guess that is to be expected when its this popular. Love that they let you customize the pizza with whatever you want. Delicious food at a great price and no complaints from the kids : : what more can you ask for.
