Thai River - REDLAND BAY

We love this place! We have lived here for 20 years and I think it opened about 14-15 years ago. The food is just great, always delicious. The restaurant is always busy especially on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights, though it serves lunch Tuesday to Friday too. The staff are very obliging, attentive, polite with lovely smiles. We would highly recommend Thai River!

The best Thai food you can find in the Redlands area. Everything is incredibly fresh and bursting with flavor.

The service and food at this restaurant are consistently great! While it may not be the absolute best in the world, it is definitely the best in the area. I have dined here multiple times and will continue to do so. The Pad Thai is particularly delicious and their entrees are very tasty.

We entered the restaurant and the waitress seemed in a bad mood, giving off the impression that she didn't want us there. She instructed us to seat ourselves, but the setting and décor were nice. There was a wide variety of options to choose from on the menu. We decided to try the crumbed calamari, which had a nice crispy coating and came with a well-balanced dipping sauce that was sweet yet spicy. The value was good, with 8 rings for $8.50. For our main dishes, we ordered sweet and sour chicken, which my companions enjoyed, and Traditional Thai chicken, which was okay. The standout dish was the cashew chicken. The Thai chicken fried rice was also tasty with a good mix of vegetables. Overall, the meal was a good value at $71.90 for such a large portion. Unfortunately, the service from the waitress was lacking in friendliness. Despite this, the food was good and it may be worth giving the restaurant another try.

Excellent Thai in Redlands. The raving Urbanspoon reviews led us to Thai River from our stay in Wellington Point. The food was so fresh, tasty yet light and delicate, not too heavy. Tom Yum with Prawns came each with massive fresh Prawns. Veg and Tofu in Oyster Sauce beautiful, Pad Thai perfect. Left very satisfied with left overs to take home.
