Riddick's Sports Pub - Redding

It wasn't with Riddicks since it changed from All-Stars, and a friend of mine and I saw it leaving from the street over the bank. It was a lunch in the middle of the week, and there were more people in Riddicks than could be effectively served by their staff this day. But the staff in these days is hard. My friend has a pizza, I have the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich. The portion size was generous. The frits were crisp, and everything about sandwich was great, except the chicken was overcooked. If you look at the attached picture, the chicken looks like a hamburger. But it was still good, just a little extra crispy with a little smokey taste. My buddy's pizza was very good, and he's pretty proud of his pizzas. (If he doesn't like anything, he doesn't hesitate to say that). He didn't work and had a beer. It was flat. He took it back; they checked the barrel and replaced his beer with an excuse. Great work. We sat on a high-top near the bar and were served by the bartender. She ran. Everyone said if there was a 4.5, I would give it. Maybe it was more business than normal, maybe someone called sick. Maybe they cooked the last 99 chicken sandwiches perfectly and I was the one who was forgotten for a minute. I'm back because if the chicken wasn't overcooked, it would have been a really special sandwich. I feel that my assessment will change after my next visit...

The shrimp tacos are excellent, and the ambiance is inviting and cozy. The staff is friendly and professional, and they aren't hesitant to handle any overly disruptive customers, which I really appreciate. Overall, a great experience!

This is a fantastic spot for dining or enjoying drinks! The service is excellent, and there's always a TV nearby no matter where you sit to catch all the sports action. It’s the best sports bar in Redding!

Bottom line: Riddick's is a gritty, local joint with outstanding gastropub food and great options for TV sports viewing.Service is solid, but expect it to get slow when packed with fans.You can see a TV from anywhere in the bar.Pool.Brutal honesty, the food at Riddick's far out classes the entire rest of the look and feel of the place. I already liked it for what it is, a local dive bar with gray sports viewing. Please do not expect more just because the food is freaking amazing.
