Dude's Drive Inn - Redding

Dude's has been a favorite of mine for the last few years. I go there a few times a month just for their onion rings and their variety of Shakes. I've also ordered a number of different sandwiches off their menu, and I've never been disappointed.

Classic location with a lot of history, friendly staff, and the best soft serve ice cream in town.

I been here multiple times and go really bad service today. I order 2 ice cream. The first one fall off the cone because the ice cream was too soft! I was not offered any help cleaning up. The second ice cream fall over my pants help because it was too soft and nobody offer to help or give us a solution to fix it. They process to act like they have no customer. I came July 12 at 5:30pm. Today customer service was rude!

Great prices and AWESOME shakes. They have more ice cream flavors than you would believe.!!!! Love the fish sandwich too.!!!

Dude 's is one of the last icons of Redding still in business. The architecture is mid century googie and is reminiscent of classic Americana design. The building is cool, but what about the food? Dude 's has classic burgers and fries with signature fry sauce, something foreign to the East Coast and a truly unique California staple. Their ice cream and shakes are what make me love them during the hot summer Redding. Their shakes are thick, thick, thick! Great flavors and it 's surprisingly affordable. It doesn 't break the bank to take a car full of kids through the drive-thru and my wallet thanks me. After living in Redding for the last 18 years, I 'm always finding myself at Dude 's, as it is uniquely Redding.
