La Casa Del Sorriso - Redavalle

We booked as we were returning home from the Langhe, we had wanted to try the Casa del Sorriso for a while, what can I say.... Right choice! Very kind and knowledgeable staff, varied and well-planned menu, excellent raw materials prepared by a (very nice) and very competent chef, my wife and I opted for the tasting menu which is set up with different choice options, for us Starter 2 risottos and a main course, dessert, coffee, and water, off the menu with 1 glass of wine at the bar. Our Risottos: Risotto with Barolo creamed with Castelmagno (exceptional), and the Castelmagno was there, for those who know this type of cheese know the unique taste it has. Appetizers: Courgette flower with herb cream (excellent) Basket with burratina and caramelized pepper (delicious) Crostini with lard and pink pepper (excellent) Speck and Apple Risotto... Really delicious! Second : Scottona steak with Grana flakes, very tender and well prepared meat! Sweet : Separate tiramisu... (the idea of combining Savoiardi coffee and an excellent fresh cream is nice! Chocolate salami (very good) Conclusions: A bit spartan place but well looked after, kind and knowledgeable staff, exceptional chef, fresh and well cooked raw materials. Friendliness and availability make it a place worth trying. Nb: They accept animals (we have a Cavalier king) treated like human customers and pampered. This makes it an extra point in their favor.

A really nice surprise. Truly a great experience. Had lunch today with wife and daughter and had a great time. Excellent quality food. Satisfactory quantity. The name is spot on, the smile from the parking lot (large and reserved) to the exit after lunch has never abandoned us!!! The room is well-kept and tastefully furnished, even in the bathroom (very clean) there are cloth towels!!! They welcome us with a smile and we already find some dips at the table, a small welcome caress but very welcome!!! Excellent food with research into raw materials that blend into the dishes with balance!!! The price of the menu is not only proportionate but for such a lunch I would have expected and paid something more!!! The service is friendly but impeccable, another appreciable note is the greeting from the chef at the end of the meal who takes care to offer you the rum suited to your palate...highly recommended and will return!!!
