Spud & Dog - Red Lake

We had fries and gravy, and deep fried dill pickle spears, It was all good, it is a vendor truck on main street in Red Lake. Service was quick, we sat at picnic tables and watched float planes and mama and baby loons in the water. Prices were average.

Yes, you read that correctly, they really know how to make fries. They will serve you the best homemade fries in town. I've been to other chip wagons and can assure you that spud & dog make the fries right. Double fried. Cooked, soft in the inside yet crispy on the outside. The chicken fingers are good too. Poutine? Hell yes!

This is a simple food vending type of vehicle, parked adjacent to Red Lake's Main Street business district. They serve many sandwiches, hot dogs, hamburgers, etc. But their best menu item is their FRENCH FRIES. They rival Five Guys Burgers and Fries, if that tells you anything. We stopped their twice, just for fries. We were 1,200 miles from home, staying at a remote fishing camp. it was worth the very long ride to town.

Great local chip wagon in Red Lake right on the water. Fast, friendly service and one of the best chicken burgers I've ever had. Will definitely return.
