Smitty's Restaurant - Red Deer

Comparable to Fast Food. Everything was fresh from the box and cheap tasting garbage. will not be back. Just gave 2 stars because Brenda was the waitress good.

This is one of our favorite places to eat, or whatever. The last three times we visited the service was terrible. The first time we sat there waiting for our food to arrive for 45 minutes. It wasn't busy at all... so there was no reason that it takes so long. We finally asked a waitress how much longer it would be. With 2 children waiting that long is not easy. The waitress forgot to even enter our orders! They apologized like crazy, took our orders back and finally we got our food. We lost and went back. This time they have completely forgotten to enter my Cobb Salad order. The third time was today. They did not enter our 8-year order! Three times in a row! Not only that, but today we needed our drinks to be refilled around a quarter way through our meal, and they never even came to our table so that we could know them. The service was just terrible!! We keep giving them more chances, because the food is awesome when you get it and the restaurant is not so busy. But I don't know if we'll be back after the experiences we had.

We stopped on Tuesday, 18/18. September at Smitty's Restaurant in Red Deer and we were very impressed with food and service. My husband had the fish and chips and I had a clubhouse sandwich with an emperor salad. Both were delicious. Our waitress mentioned that she had been serving for 35 years. She was exceptionally friendly, efficient and went beyond and beyond. I wanted to taste in my coffee and although the restaurant did not have it, she told me that she had some flavored cream (a different section of the restaurant? And she brought me! In addition, when we made our meal and ready to leave, she offered me a coffee refill in a take-out cup I was pleased to accept. Who does that? This is one and only time someone made such an offer in a restaurant. As I said, she went beyond and beyond excellent service. She was extraordinary!

We had a table of 7 at night when we went to Smittys. When we first came in, a customer was quite upset about her bill; refused to pay for a meal they could not eat. We would have... The waitress was so rude about the seat that my mother had asked and made her a certain place. When we came after a few minutes, I came to the table and I said it was small. It was for 6, not 7 and I personally hate being clamped during a meal. When the waitress came back, I said we would like to move as small as it was. She was very rude; I told her it wasn't necessary at all. She went away and said something to another waitress. Then she cried over us to sit. It was with a glare when she stood out like a 2 years old. The waitress we came to the end was new so she had her moments, but we understood. The food for some was decent. But the agitator OMG GROSS. Eggs in a place that focuses on breakfast?!???????? Not impressed. All in all, we won't bother to go back.

Love the .29 cent cheap wings everyday for happy hour from 4-6. good drink specials also. a lot of flavors to choose from
