A&W - Red Deer

The lady at the drive through made me feel as though I was making a lie up to get a free hashbrown, on June 16th I received my breakfast, drive back to work and saw I was missing a hashbrown in my bag (which was on my receipt and pais for, I called, told them what happened, the person I talked to said just say your name next time you 're in and you will get your item back no charge, just SAY YOUR NAME REALLY??? That was not the case, the lady who claimed I don 't see your name and I work the drive through till EVERYDAY, I 'd remember !!! wow, then she took all my information after accusing me of trying to get a free hashbrown! The hashbrown isn 't my biggest issue, the way she made me FEEL is the big issue here, I work, I pay bills, I pay for my stuff and when I do, I expect to get what I paid for and not to feel as though l 'm made out to be a liar when I return to the business to collect what I paid for, Noone should EVER Feel like that! NOT IMPRESSED to say the least!

While journeying from Calgary to Cold Lake, we stopped at A W for breakfast. We all had the Bacon and Egger. The service was quick and the sandwiches standard for this chain restaurant.

This is on Gasoline alley in Red Deer and has easy access and they sure cater to the drive in if you are in a hurry. It is a typical A&W!

With COVID, we weren 't sure about having a lunch here, but it turned out okay. They were doing all the right things to ensure social distancing, etc. The only minor issue was the washroom they didn 't have paper towels, just an air dryer which is scary in these times. BUT, they only allow one person at a time, so a person could use toilet paper to dry off if needed. Still, we really like A&W food choices, our burgers were tasty we ordered a couple of their '56 burgers. We 'd stop here again if we needed a quick bite while in the area.

We just got back from a 21 day bus trip and our tour director phoned a head so they could expect us and both going down and coming back there was not enough staff.The food was so so .It needs a good cleaning as well as showing its age
