I'm an American. I love checking them out of the country. He gets four, which is far better than most. The meat store was perfect, the engraving was very good (and too much of it, this is a diner convention just squeeze some off and Bob's your uncle). The ribs were well prepared and a little light on the sauce, as is suitable for the diner preparation. Excellent. Genuine garlic bread and not the cruel cheese bread that goes around. Excellent old style vegetables beef soup. The nostalgia factor is through the roof. If these people stay, they have the talent to go five stars and be one of the best. Get on the ground floor and try it now! Keep your eyes peeled the real restaurant is hidden in a sunken stripe mall. You should be able to see the shield easily enough. That could go for the title. And oh yes: pleasant people whose advice on what good you can trust.
We're seniors and have just moved to the Red Bluff area. We model the kitchen in a snail pace, so we eat a lot. We just need decent food and friendly service. This place came through in a great way. We ordered the 4 pieces of broiled chicken with 4 ribs. The idea was to have a few leftovers the next day. He had the vegetable soup and liked it. He gave it 3 mmmm. I had the salad, just normal, but not bad. The chicken was very good. The ribs were tender and looked great. I let him eat all the ribs. When we were ready to go the server, we said it was a free cake night. Great, we both have our cake to go. The only bad thing, possibly a manager, or owner, went into the salad bar with a styrofoam box and I overheard her say oh that is chaotic, but she continued to fill her box and nobody ever went to refill or clean. If there are problems, it is probably due to the manager.
I would say very someone to try this place, Mike was a big server, and Proces and food is excellent, we will go back!!!!
Really friendly. Solid diner food. Crazy selection of whipped cream covered pies.
